For those travelers that have a heart for creativity, there’s no better stop on the itinerary than the Honolulu Museum of Art. Where culture and art collide, the Honolulu Museum of Art comes to life in inspiring style.

A Breathtaking Collection

What began as a small cultural museum founded by Anne Rice Cooke in 1922 has since grown to become the largest museum of its kind in the state of Hawaii. In 1927, the Honolulu Museum of Art possessed upwards of 4,700 works of art and today, the museum enjoys a collection of permanent displays and exhibits that highlight more than 50,000 artifacts and inspiring works of art. Located at 900 S Bertania Street, the Honolulu Museum of Art has a clear and defined mission of collecting, preserving, interpreting and teaching visual arts so that future generations can appreciate the beauty and value of creativity and culture. This incredible mission gives the museum the motivation to want to house and present over 5,000 years of island history and culture to the greater public.
