In 2019, the annual Queen Liliuokalani Keiki Hula Competition in Hawaii will once again be held at the Neil S. Blaisdell Arena Center at 777 Ward Avenue in Honolulu. This three-day competition takes place July 25 through July 27 and will run from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm daily. The art of Hula is celebrated through an incredible competition that features over 400 dance participants from across the islands. Hosted by the Kalihi-Palama Culture and Arts Society, the annual Queen Liliuokalani Keiki Hula Competition in Hawaii will enjoy it’s 44th year of dazzling dance performances in 2019 making it the world’s longest running hula event of its kind. It’s definitely one of the best things to do in Honolulu.

Over the course of the event’s three days, dancers between the ages of 5 and 12 will take to the stage to perform. Solo competitions, as well as group competitions, are up for top honors during this fun yet competitive event. Trophies and awards are presented the last Saturday of the competition making for a wonderful moment for dancers as well as visitors. When you’re not watching a performance, guests are invited to enjoy the Keiki Hula Open Market that will be open on-site. The market provides guests with opportunities to browse a variety of beautiful and hand-crafted local goods, all of which are available for purchase. Throughout the competition, food and beverage vendors will also be readily available to help curb any and all cravings.
